Welcome to Mathology. By using the app, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English on purpose, so you can actually read them. If you're under 13, please read them with a parent or guardian.
The short version: Mathology is a free practice tool. Use it to learn, don't try to break or abuse it, and understand that we can't promise it's always available or that every question is perfect.
1. The service
Mathology is a math practice app for Kindergarten through Grade 12, made by Marg Tech LLC. It works in a browser and as an iOS and Android app. It is free and has no ads or in-app purchases.
2. Your account
- You can use every grade and topic without an account.
- Signing in with Google is optional and saves your progress across devices. Children under 13 should sign in only with a parent's permission.
- You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
- You can delete your account at any time: tap your name in the top-right corner, then Delete my account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Practice questions
Many questions are generated by AI (Google Gemini), with a built-in generator as a backup. We work to keep them accurate and grade appropriate, but an AI-generated question, answer, or explanation can occasionally be wrong. Mathology is a practice aid, not a replacement for a teacher, curriculum, or test-prep program. If you spot a mistake, email us so we can improve.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Send automated or bulk requests to the app or its question server, or use it to generate content for other services.
- Try to get around the parent check, security rules, sign-in, or rate limits. Good-faith security reports are welcome — email us.
- Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app except as the law allows.
- Use the app to send malicious code or interfere with other people's use of it.
- Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its code, design, and brand (including the Mathology name and logo) belong to Marg Tech LLC. You may not copy or redistribute them except as permitted by law (for example, personal study or fair use).
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it working, but we can't promise that:
- It will always be available, error-free, or bug-free.
- Every question, answer, or explanation will be correct.
- Saved progress will never be lost.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim related to these terms is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which is zero.
8. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates these terms, especially section 4.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll update the date above and mention material changes inside the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey. If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or another place whose laws give you rights that can't be waived by contract, those rights still apply.
